Greetings from the Netherlands!

Greetings from the Netherlands!!! :-)
I made it safely to Den Haag, and even managed to get everything I need for the next month in my backpack (although it's RIDICULOUSLY heavy!). See attached pic - HA!
Yesterday was just a day of traveling to get here and get settled in. Stuart's flat here is quite nice and there are plenty of shops and neat places near by. Last night we fell victim to restaurants here closing by 9:30pm (ish) and ended up having our first meal at Burger King. It tasted pretty much like it does in the States though. :-)
Today it's cold (in the upper 40's/lower 50's) and rainy, but I'm still going to go and see a few places around here. They have a cute town square with lots of places to see, so I'll prolly just go exploring. Then either tonight or tomorrow night, Stuart and I are going to see The Da Vinci Code (with Dutch subtitles of course) and I can't wait!
Tomorrow is going to be my day in Amsterdam. There are a couple of cool museums there that I'd like to see as well as the town in general. I was there only briefly yesterday when my flight got in, but I immediately took the train to Den Haag.
By the way, I went grocery shopping this morning and it was an experience with everything being written in Dutch! At least with Spanish and Italian you can usually kinda sorta figure out what things are. Well that's not the case at all with Dutch! I did figure out that "kip" is chicken, but that's about it. I'm going to take Stuart's Dutch phrasebook with me tomorrow...

However, I did find Cheetos and Frosted Flakes and thought the packaging was quite interesting! (See attached pics)Anyway, I'm off to explore Den Haag now but I thought I'd update all of you on things from across the pond! I miss you all already and will be in contact as much as I can while I'm traveling!
Keep checking back for updates to my blog since it's easier than sending out e-mails to everyone.
Love,
-V :-)

Sounds like you are having fun already. Tell Stuart we say "hello". Are the flowers still in bloom?
