First Visit from a Texan Friend!
So this blog posting isn't about a cool trip that I went on (although I'm planning my next!), but instead about a COOL friend from Texas that came over to see me! - "Anthony Brian Saccoccio the First"
Anthony and I became friends back at A&M over 5 years ago when I used to work at the plasma center in College Station. He's by FAR my wildest and craziest friend, and he and Blake and I had many good times back in Aggieland. The guy has "Howdy" tattooed on his "bum", came to Gobblerfest one year in a full Civil War costume, is the smoothest talker I know (next to my father), and will literally do ANYTHING - HA!
Anyway, he has been working in construction over in Iraq for a couple of years now and recently made a trip back to Texas to visit his fam. We've been trying to meet up since I moved to London and finally had the chance when he arranged a 24 hour layover in London on his way back to Baghdad. Speaking of doing "anything" though - the guy brought over a wheeled cooler/chest FULL of frozen steaks to BBQ when he gets back to Baghdad! He lugged that thing through the streets of London and even onto the underground trains - it was hysterical. You can see that I tried to take a picture of him manuvering around the tube station stairs.
We had a great time and although I had to work yesterday and couldn't show him around for very long - he still got to see some of the key London sights. Last night I took him to the famous Texas Embassy, a classic for all Texan tourists! We both had the chicken fried steak and authentic margaritas. Anthony of course chatted up the manager and told him he'd send back some cool pics of him in Iraq posing with his Texas flag. The manager was pretty excited about it - HA! :-) He has not a CLUE what's in store for him..
Anyway, so if any more of you want to come across the pond for a visit - let me know! ;-)

Hi! I found your blog really interesting!
I'm planning to visit Scotland and it's cool to know a bit about the time you had there.
Greetings from Brazil
So the deleted comments really have my curiosity up. I wish I could come visit! You'll just have to hang around until I have vacation time again after the end of the year. Unfortunately, our trip in November doesn't put us near London :-(
